Honestly, if you ask me, there is something unique about revealing those certain part's of our personality or Not only will it open up the door as an introduction, but it gives us a chance to describe ourselves to a new friend or acquaintance. And we ALL know that one of the benefits of a cool Symbol -whether Chinese, Tribal, Japanese or whatever -is that they are crucial for starting conversations. But - it never hurts to know for sure that you have the right understanding of your tattoo -especially when people ask you about it.
And in most cases we wont - unless of course you happen to hang around Chinese people or Chinese history and cultural experts. Obviously, if you never come across someone that knows the true meaning of your tattoo, it wont matter. Alot can be lost in translation - and there is nothing worse than thinking you know what a symbol means or thinking that something like that describes you, when in reality, its not what you think. Many times we, (Western Civilization), can have a bad habit of giving the Chinese Symbols and words OUR definition or meaning.

Its more than just a bunch of Chinese Symbols and words - it really goes deeper into the actual meanings of symbols.
